Fall Events Guide

Fall is full of favorites for many people. Apple orchards, pumpkin patches, colored leaves, and not to mention plenty of seasonal food and drinks. Mark your calendars for these upcoming fall events where you can get a taste of that all and much more.

Fall Festival

The Fall Festival at Country Apple Orchard takes place every weekend in September and October, so you will have plenty of chances to join the fun. Wander through the apple orchard picking your favorite type of apples, enjoy fun and entertainment with over 20 attractions, and treat yourself to some fresh apple pie, apple crisp, apple cider, hot chocolate, and more.

Corn Mazes

Navigate your way through the corn mazes at Heartland Country Corn Maze and Yogi Bear Corn Maze. Locals look forward to seeing the new design at both corn mazes each year.

Stacks & Steins

Enjoy more Oktoberfest fun at the Holiday Inn City Centre in Downtown Sioux Falls for its annual Stacks & Steins event on September 27. You'll find classic German food, live music, hammerschlagen, plus more games and entertainment.

Oktoberfest

Fernson Downtown will be holding its first ever Oktoberfest on September 27 in the courtyard next to its patio. This free event will feature traditional fest beer, themed food dishes, and plenty of games all day long.

Makers Exchange Fall Festival

The Makers Exchange in Tea will be holding its Fall Festival on September 27 where you will find over 100 local vendors along with delicious food and drinks packed with fall flavors.

Pumpkin Festival

Make the short drive a few miles outside of Sioux Falls to Riverview Christmas Tree Farm for its annual Pumpkin Festival held the last weekend in September and the first three weekends in October. There are activities for everyone in the family like live music, farm animals, beer/wine garden, inflatables, apple launcher, and of course, pumpkin picking, along with plenty more kids activities.

Kid's Corner: Pumpkin Painting

Let the kids' creative side run wild at Landscape Garden Centers for its pumpkin painting event on October 3. Kids even get to pick their own pumpkin from the patch.

Barktoberfest

Enjoy German food, beer, games, and more family fun on October 11 for the annual Barktoberfest at Look's Marketplace.

Autumn Festival, An Arts & Crafts Affair

Vendors will be selling handcrafted goods November 21-23 at the Sioux Falls Convention Center during the annual Autumn Festival, An Arts & Crafts Affair. You'll find things like home decor, gifts, and more.
