New Attractions
At over 22,000 square feet, the Barb Iverson Skate Plaza at Nelson Park is one of the largest in the country. This state-of-the-art skate plaza includes flow bowls, guard rails, and an inclusive design.
Lions are back at the Great Plains Zoo after 30 years! The new lion exhibit opened in June 2024, offering plenty of space for Amahle and Simba to roam and enjoy playful activities.
The 2024 SculptureWalk features a record number of sculptures since its inception 21 years ago. View over 80 sculptures scattered throughout Downtown Sioux Falls in this year-long display. Vote for your favorite to be purchased by the city for permanent display.
Midco Arena is home to Augustana University's DI Men's Ice Hockey team. This new 3,000 seat venue on campus includes state-of-the-art amenities for both players and fans alike, in addition to great views of the action from every seat.
You can now include pickleball in your list of things to do when visiting Remedy Brewing Company! This downtown brewery added three indoor pickleball courts right outside its back door. Grab a beer and food in the taproom and then walk over to the courts for a fun match.
The Washington Pavilion unveiled its Sweetman Planetarium, one of the most advanced planetarium systems in the country. Enjoy watching mesmerizing programming such as stargazing, live space launches, and so much more.
New Food & Drink
While Tavern Grill is known for its build-your-own burgers, pizza, and salads, there's so many more dishes to enjoy such as spicy ginger seared tuna, short ribs, and the Reuben sandwich to name a few. Pair your meal with one of the many handcrafted cocktails or a local beer.

Canopy by Hilton will be a high-end boutique property that is expected to open in October of 2024 at the new Steel District development. This 216-room hotel will have onsite restaurants, convention space, and views of the Big Sioux River, as it will be within walking distance of Falls Park.
